E-learning courses and interactive sessions

We have developed e-learning course content and also regularly provide interactive training sessions throughout the year to University staff.

Our training facilitates awareness of recordkeeping responsibilities and good practice. After finishing the training, you should be equipped to manage records in your business unit effectively and efficiently.

Note: Following the University's transition to a virtual campus in 2020 and continued hybrid working, our interactive training sessions are currently hosted via Zoom.

  • Managing Information and Cybersecurity (e-learning course)

    This e-learning course is mandatory for all Continuing and Fixed-Term staff. The course covers compliance obligations, personal information, University records, Cybercrime, protecting your accounts and more.

  • Content Manager (interactive session)

    Content Manager is the University's enterprise recordkeeping system. Many business units use this system to manage University records.

    This 1-2 hour training session is for new users of Content Manager and will explore the following:

    • Navigating around the system
    • Searching techniques
    • Identifying the types of documents that need to be captured and registered
    • Capturing and registering documents (e.g. Word, email etc) including the required business rules

    We will demonstrate the tasks and answer questions throughout the session.

    Note: In order to gain access to Content Manager, you must complete and submit an online access form via ServiceNow.

  • Getting started with Records Managed SharePoint (interactive session)

    SharePoint is a web based, collaborative platform that is part of the Microsoft 365 suite. Records Managed SharePoint (RMSP) is a customised version of SharePoint that has been developed by the University to support records management compliance.

    This 1 hour training session is for new users of a RMSP site and covers main tasks such as navigating the platform and searching, uploading and sharing documents. We will demonstrate the tasks and answer questions throughout the session.
